Welcome

The Data Onboarding app is the workspace for migrating a newly acquired or partnered management company (a branch) into TownSq platform. It gives the teams doing the work a shared place to map fields, plan waves, conform certain data points to Associa standards, review data quality, validate each association, and track every entity through to go-live.

This documentation explains the process end to end and shows you how to do each part in the app.

Who this is for

• Implementation — Associa onboarding specialists who drive standardization, review, and validation, and coordinate the migration.
• Branch (NewCo) staff — people from the acquired company who provide source-system knowledge, wave preferences, and data validation.
• Managers and admins who sign off waves for go-live and manage access.

The process at a glance

Onboarding runs as a sequence of phases, from first data access through to production go-live. Some phases happen in this app; others (source data ingestion and the C3 loading pipelines) are run by the Data Platform engineering team and are summarized here for context.

What you do in the app

The app is where the branch-facing and implementation work happens:

1. Field Mapping Notes — record what source data exists for every entity and field.
2. Implementation Waves — group associations for phased migration and set go-dark / go-live dates.
3. Data Availability — confirm each entity has been ingested and see its migration state.
4. Standardization — map source codes (GL accounts, charge types, delinquency statuses, reimbursables, bank accounts) to Associa/C3 standards.
5. Review — spot-check data quality across every entity.
6. Validation — run the per-association validation wizard and the cross-entity and financial reconciliation panels.
7. Migration Tracking & Sign-off — advance each entity's lifecycle state and get two-party sign-off before go-live.
