Unit Types

Core information for unit type classifications including identifying data and assessment details. Units can reference types by any unique identifier (ID, name, or composite).

Retention History

Include all current unit type classifications for active associations. Retain historical unit types if they had units associated with them during the relevant time period or if they affect historical billing/assessment calculations.

Usage Notes

Unit types define categories like 'Single Family Home', '2BR Condo', 'Townhouse', 'Villa', etc.
OPTIONAL: Most source systems don't have a concept of unit types. We often generate unit types ourselves based on unit characteristics.
While unit types are required in the target system, they are not required from the source team.
If provided, include all unit types used in the association with their assessment details
Units can reference types by any unique identifier: ID, name, or composite value
Unit type names must be unique within each association
Assessment details are critical for accurate billing: square footage, late fees, and interest rates
